I was listening to my own music earlier and suddenly all the bass cut out in my speakers. At first I thought it was Winamp playing tricks on me after I messed with the equalizer too much, but no, my subwoofer was busted. I’m not too sure if it’s because I put my speakers under heavy strains of playing low octave basses on a daily basis, or if because it was old, or because it was just a cheap, $20 speaker set. Probably combination of all three.
Whatever the case might be, I needed to buy a new temporary speaker set from eBay. Unfortunately I’m no Scrooge McDuck, so I had to buy the same brand, same type of speakers. It’s the best one that I have found on there for its price:quality ratio. 1200-Watt Frisby Subwoofer for $21.95, plus shipping. Which to me doesn’t sound too bad. Har har, what a hilarious pun I just made.
All I know is that I will need to be more careful with the subwoofer once this new set arrives. Today I was going to post some demos of the songs I have been working on as well, but alas, I will need to wait with that. On the bright side, at least my neighbors can sleep at night for a few days.
