Music Sounds Faster When You’re Tired!

May 19th, 2008 · No Comments

Have you noticed before that when you’re tired and you listen to music, the song you’re listening to sounds much faster than it normally would when you’re fully awake and filled with energy? You could be listening to a slow electronic track and it would somehow magically turn into a moderately fast dance song. Sometimes I actually find certain songs to be more enjoyable when I’m about to pass out from being tired. I did a little research on this idea and figured out that this is because when you’re tired, it takes more work for your brain to process everything and it sounds like the music is trying to catch up, if that makes sense.

Neat, huh?
