Top Three Ways to Easily Try Out Linux

July 21st, 2008 · No Comments

Linux Haxor has written a really nice entry about the three different ways you could try out Linux without actually having to permanently switch from your current operating system. Which is quite a great idea for those who are skeptical about the open-source operating system. Linux Haxor says,

“Linux is all about choices, and I believe the users should have the choice to switch back and forth into whatever OS they want to. And in order to do so we have to make this experience for new users as friendly and as non-destructive to their experience as possible. And hopefully when they see the true power and the convenience they get from Linux experience, they will make the full switch themselves.”

The detailed entry covers everything from Cygwin, virtual desktops, to Wubi (Which the above screenshot was taken from). I personally like the idea of virtual desktops the most, but you might find the other two methods more favorable. You can read the whole article right here.
